Expression of Interest are invited for Technology for Teaching (T4T) Technical Assistance Education Global Practice

The selected firm will work closely with the World Banks Haiti Country Team and the T4T Task Team (the Task Teams) to develop a Landscape Review Report presenting a diagnostic of TPD programs and policies to provide recommendations to the Ministry for enhancing and scaling TPD practices. The firm will conduct an assessment of existing TPD programs implemented by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), World Bank and other development partners in Haiti to evaluate the extent to which current TPD programs provided by the non-public sector/ donor-funded projects are aligned to the Ministrys regulatory/ legal framework, teachers and students curriculum, learning standards and international good practices. These programs will be assessed in scope, number of teachers trained, frequency, and include assessments of teachers practices when already available. . The results from this assessment will be applied to: (i) support the development of a Teacher Competency Standards Framework to facilitate a standardized quality assurance of TPD practices and continued promotion of teaching quality; (ii) inform capacity building activities to strengthen the Ministrys efforts in building a qualified teaching workforce; and (iii) provide policy and implementation recommendations to leverage technology (mainly low-tech solutions) to provide TPD in alignment with ongoing programs, available resources, and TPD needs.
