Description: The Center for Information and Media Technology (ZIMT) at the University of Siegen is responsible for the provision and operation of IT infrastructure and applications as well as for IT specialist and technical support for employees.
The provision of centrally operated applications and IT systems by the ZIMT also includes the operation of data center infrastructure and platforms for the operation of virtualized servers, in whose environment VMware technology for virtualization and Nutanix are currently used as the technological platform.
For the communication and collaboration of the employees of the University of Siegen and the cooperation in the departments, different solutions from the manufacturer Microsoft are used.
