Description: The aim of the order is to provide technical and legal support in the design of the support system for the production of electricity-based fuels as well as the preparation, support and analysis of the competitive process.

The BMVI particularly supports investments in alternative drives and fuels. The BMVI is making a contribution to the implementation of the federal government's climate protection plan. This looks u. a. a reduction in CO2 emissions in the transport sector by 40-42% compared to 1990 to 2030.

With renewable fuels (electricity-based fuels from renewable energy sources (EE) and advanced biofuels), GHG reductions can also be achieved for modes of transport that cannot be electrified in the medium term or only to a limited extent in the long term.
