The University of the Bundeswehr Munich (Unibw M) was founded on 11 August 2020 a new "Center for Digitalization and Technology Research of the Bundeswehr" (short dtec.bw). dtec.bw is part of the economic government of the Federal Government to overcome the COVID 19 crisis and is equipped with research funds from the economic stimulus program via the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVG). In the Research Project



"Smart Health Lab (SHL)"



Innovative top research in medical technology, sensor technology, data science and basic research on the medical and psychological mechanisms and application research for the efficacy of smart health technologies.

In particular, the focus is on research for the military sector: the digitalization of the Bundeswehr, education and training, application preparation and the prevention of psychic disorders. The findings obtained can be transferred to the civilian application context, and thus promote civil military cooperation.
