Description : Department Of Environment, Land, Water And Planningrequest For Tender (Rft)Supply Of Bottled Spring Water(Etender)Tender Number: 344407The Department Of Environment, Land, Water And Planning (The Department) Brings Together Victoria`S Planning, Local Government, Environment, Energy, Suburban Development, Forests, Emergency Management, Climate Change And Water Functions Into A Single Department To Strengthen Connections Between The Environment, Community, Industry And The Economy.The Department Holds Various Responsibilities For The Management Of Public Land And Natural Resources Including The Prevention And Suppression Of Bushfire In Victoria`S National Parks, State Forests And Protected Public Land Covering Approximately 7.4 Million Hectares Or Roughly One Third Of The State.Each Year, During The Fire Danger Period, Which Generally Occurs Between November And April, The Department Employs Approximately 600 Additional Staff To Complement Its Fire Fighting Force Of Approximately 1, 500 People. Bottled Spring Water Is Provided Daily To Employees Undertaking Arduous Work Related To Bushfires, Prescribed Burning Activities And Other Emergency Activities.The Department Is Seeking A Supplier(S) To Provide Bottled Spring Water To Support Firefighting Activities.
