INFORMATION FOR TENDERER

Eligibility of Tenderer : (1) The Bangladesh Meteorological Department now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Aviation (Automated) Weather Observing System (AWOS) on a Turnkey Basis (BMD-G2)(2) Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, July 2014 ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank s policy on conflict of interest. (3) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office of the undersigned and inspect the bidding documents during office hours BST 09:00 to 17:00 hours and the last selling date of bid document 12 March 2019 at the address given below.(4) A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of $60 or local currency (5000 BDT). The method of payment will be pay order issued in favor of: Project Director, Bangladesh Weather and Climate Services Regional Project (Component-A). The document will be delivered from the counters of Bangladesh Meteorological Department or sent by courier. For international delivery please add USD 100 to the price of bidding documents.(5) Date and Time of pre-bid meeting: 13 February 2019 at 11:00 BST at Hall Room (1st floor), Bangladesh Meteorological Department, Abhawa Bhaban, E-24, Agargaon, Dhaka-1207(6) Bids must be delivered along with softcopy (CD) to the address below on or before BST 14.30, 13 March 2019. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
