Actinium-225 (225ac) is a therapeutic radionuclide with a demonstrated ability to effectively treat late-stage cancers. Despite this potential, the current global demand for 225ac far exceeds the available supply of approximately 74 gbq (2 ci).
triumf project-476 (p476) will enable triumf to implement 225ac production technologies developed under its experimental programs into a routine operation that safely produces an 225ac product meeting current industry standards of quality at a scale comparable to all other current major 225ac producers. P476 will accomplish this by leveraging the results of experimental efforts such as l124 and l125, and by further adding additional infrastructure, equipment, processes, and procedures to triumf's 225ac production capabilities.
a critical component of p476 is the completion of quality control deliverables that will provide triumf with the capabilities to ensure 225ac produced by p476 meets product specifications. These quality control deliverables include analytical devices and the development and validation of quality control protocols.
