in accordance with applicable trade agreements the provincial health services authority on behalf of bc children's and women's hospital has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following:

rationale

children's and women's health centre of bc is currently using specimen gate software. the newborn screening program is a provincial program, and no other lab in the province does this type of testing in bc. there is no other vendor to provide software and support for this application. perkin elmer is the only vendor able to provide support as its proprietary software.

vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of diane lindsay, buyer, by email to diane.lindsay@phsa.ca before 2:00pm pacific time, july 23rd, 2018. the provincial health services authority will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration.
