Synopsis: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA`s decision to contract with a selected source using single source procedures.The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source one-time award to purchase new Receiver Protectors from the approved Original Subassembly Equipment Manufacture, Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI), 150 Sohier Rd, Beverly, MA 01915-5536. This acquisition activity supports the following FAA and Department of Defense (DOD) radar systems: ASR-11, DASR, and GPN-30 (DASR -3 Configuration), for acquisition of receiver protectors (NSN 5840-01-527-1103, IFS Part Number 015271103, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) PIN VDS1652) in support of the Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR)/Airport Surveillance Radar Model 11 (ASR-11) system.The ASR-11, DASR, and GPN-30 radar systems commissioned by the FAA and DOD, require only CPI receiver protectors (NSN 5840-01-527-1103), that have been previously approved by Raytheon Source Control for both the DASR/ASR-11 and -3 configurations, to be manufactured for the sustainment of the aforementioned systems.If you`re viewing this announcement from a source other than Federal Aviation Administration Contract Opportunities (FAACO), visit https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm/announcement/view/34917 to view the original announcement.
