Tenders are invited for Short Term Social Stability Provider (STSSP) for Arts and Acrobatic Movements.

1. MISSION CONTEXT



Support and strengthen protection for children, adolescents and caregivers amongst the Syrian-Crisis affected population as well spread the peace and reconciliation themes and promote social cohesion.



1. OBJECTIVE OF THE PROVIDER MISSION



General Objective

The general objective of the consultancy is to engage around 20 youth or 20 women regarding their rights to engage and play recreational activities that develop their physical, community and emotional skills.

Specific objectives



· Offer learning experiences of the highest standards possible, irrespective of gender, ethnic background, age or disability

· Provide experiences covering the full range of individual strengths and abilities through activities

· Teach them the elements of music

· Teach them the elements of dancing while using steps of fighting

· Engage them in a new history and language

· Engage them in activities that challenge them to step outside their comfort zone

· Increase playfulness

· Improve the emotional stability

· Build new friendships

· Increase the percentage of tolerance

· Develop inner strength

· Overcome and type of exclusion, violence and stereotyping

· Create an environment where beneficiaries develop a sense of belonging, an experience of mutual sharing, and a possibility of building new relationships

· Create tools to measure the impact of the activities (pre-posttest, focus group discussions)

· Each session is 120 minutes

· Liaising regularly with social stability officer to guarantee the smooth operation of the program





1. Reporting mechanisms

Report directly to the Social stability officer

S/he will submit the following reports at the end of the training sessions:

· Submit by the end of each month a monthly report regarding the beneficiaries- attendance

· Submit a monthly progress report.

· Submit at the end of the recycling cycle a report measuring the quality and impact of the workshop





1. Qualifications of the provider

Person qualifications

· Relevant experience of at least 1 year with national and international NGO.

· Awareness of Human Rights and Refugee International Laws.

· Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.

· Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills are very important.

· Excellent command of Arabic (speaking and writing), English an asset.

· Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues, proven problem solving and organizational skills.

· Rigorous, and polite.

· Respect of SIF values and mandate.



Ethic and professional practice

· Always respect of beneficiaries- confidentiality

· Openness to working with refugees as well as with Lebanese beneficiaries.

· Always respect of beneficiaries- confidentiality.

· Address needs and requests in a professional way.

· Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.

· Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers.

· Always respect a refusal of treatment.

· Maintain confidentiality at all times.

· Always respect a refusal of participation.

· Respect and promote SIF-s Policies and report to your line manager any non-respect of SIF-s policies amongst the teams or partners.

Time Frame

Availability: starting September 2018

Duty station: Beirut and Chouf, Lebanon

Contract Length: 12 sessions in each area (Beirut and Chouf)
