Description
Request for Information (RFI): The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), General Supplies and Services (GSS) Portfolio, Office of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Internal and Emergency Acquisition Division (IEAD) is considering the use of a Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider in support of export operations to support overseas customers who had previously been serviced by GSA and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) distribution centers. This includes receipt of inbound Transatlantic and Transpacific ocean shipments from vendors, inspection and preparation for shipment of goods or containers to an intermediate destination, then to another destination, i.e. transshipment; as well as shipment consolidation, ensuring readiness for onward movement in accordance with required Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal regulations through small package carriers, the U.S. Postal System (USPS) and Defense Transportation System (DTS), and reporting on noted discrepancies
