Description : United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified entities to submit their expression of interest for a planned solicitation process as follows:

Objectives and Scope

Italy entrusted UNESCO to implement the project "Protecting and Promoting the Sudanese Cultural Heritage in a Social Development Perspective: Rehabilitating the Sudan National Museum" (SNM). One of the components of the project is the Restoration of the frescoes (mural paintings) of the SNM, which are the frescoes of the Christian period of the Sudanese history (mainly IX century AC). The budget sealing is about 100, 000 USD. The work has to be made in Khartoum in 2019-20, and includes training of the 8 local staff in restoration technics.

The restoration works has to be done in full accordance with the Venice and Burra Charters.

The names of leading experts will be strongly traced: taking out the experts, announced during the competition, from the contract is a reason to exclude the appropriate proposal from the short list.
