Despite its immense natural potential, Guinea, with an estimated population of more than 10 million, remains among the least developed countries and is among the fragile states. According to the World Human Development Report 2015 published by the UNDP, Guinea is ranked 182nd / 188 against 179th / 187 in 2013. Even if the country has achieved significantnts progress in the field of access to education and health, no MDG was reached by 2015. This assessment is attributable to the system of governance which generated numerous crises having weakened the public institutions and limited the country`s capacities to mobilize the investments and know-how necessary for its economic transformation andThe Republic of Guinea, like other nations in the world, subscribed in September 2015 to the new 2030 agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2030 agenda is based on a universal program articulated around 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the 2016-2030 period. This program aims to: (i) eradicate hunger and extreme povertyret, (ii) reduce inequalities within and between states, (iii) achieve equality between men and women, (iv) improve water and energy management and (v) act quickly against climate change. Analysts said the achievement of these targets would cost between $ 3.3 trillion and $ 4.5 trillion (between $ 3 trillion and $ 4.1 trillion) per year.n.
