Recruitment of a consulting firm to carry out the study on the establishment of a system of epidemiological surveillance at the level of Mauritania`s inland wetlands

The Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania has obtained a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the Regional Program for the Strengthening of Surveillance Systems in West Africa (REDISSE III-MR) and the intends to use part of this grant to make payments under the Consultant Contract for the " Recruitment of a consulting firm to conduct the study on the establishment of an epidemiological surveillance system at the level of Continental wetlands of Mauritania

Overall objective

Establishment of an effective framework for the capture and exploitation of information allowing the emergence of a sustainable epidemiological surveillance system in Mauritania`s inland wetlands.

The main tasks of the consultant will include:

· A real apprehension of the feasibility of an information system allowing epidemiological surveillance in Mauritania`s inland wetlands;

· An in-depth analysis of the technical, organizational and financial feasibility of an information system for the epidemiological surveillance of the country`s inland wetlands;

· The initiation of an appropriate procedure for decision-making in the specific area of ??management of issues related to epidemiological surveillance in continental wetlands by:

Formulating a knowledge-building mechanism on the issue of epidemiological surveillance in continental wetlands, on the one hand, and the proposal of the most appropriate monitoring system to closely monitor risk developments in these same areas; somewhere else ;
Indicating an adequate system to allow the valuation of the communication of the results received.
