What we need

The population of the Waimakariri District, currently at around 50, 000, is growing strongly, and is increasing local demand for primary care. At the same time the Canterbury DHB and its health system partners are pursuing a vision that people stay well in their own homes and communities, and this relies on primary care increasing its capacity to provide more pro-active and complex care. We`re keen to support investment by primary care providers in growing their capacity and capabilities.

The Rangiora Health Hub is the Canterbury DHB`s local centre for various health services for the people of North Canterbury, and has land available for establishing further local health services. This is an ideal location for the building of a new and integrated family health centre which could play a leading role in meeting the primary care needs of the Rangiora and wider Waimakariri District population.

The Canterbury DHB invites any party which could build and operate such a health centre at the Rangiora Health Hub to register their interest.
