Gate valves made of ductile cast iron or full welded constructions must comply with current technical standards, in particular with respect to corrosion protection, materials and durability. The construction of the shut-off valves has to meet the requirements of DIN EN 13774, DIN EN 558 and DIN standards 3230 part 5. The maximum permissible operating pressure is 16 bar. The shut-off slideThey are used to shut off gas lines and are tested and approved by the DVGW according to the permitted DIN regulations. All components of the shut-off valves must be resistant to natural gas and to earth-type accompanying materials according to DVGW worksheet G 260/1. If different materials are used for sealers and housings, they must be selected in such a way that they do not give any contactCorrosion between metals with different electrochemical potentials. All components must be maintenance-free. In the closed state, a tight connection must be ensured independently of the flow direction.
