Tenders are invited for Provision of Lifting Inspection, Competency Training and Storage Systems Inspection Services for Shell Operations
Provision of Lifting Equipment Inspection & Certification:
This service is available in country. The Works and Services shall include but not limited to the following:
a) Mobilization of resources and equipment to designated SHELL locations or approved contractor workshops in line with
applicable shell land transport process.
b) NDE/NDT, MPI, visual inspection, load testing, color-coding, plating, certification on Lifted Equipment and Lifting
Accessories in line with current SHELL standards, Nigerian statutory requirements and Industry standards periodically – every
six (6) monthly and yearly intervals as may be prescribed by applicable industry standards or as recommended by a competent
person.
c) Provision of dead weights, load cells and water bags for use during testing and certification of lifting equipment, gears and
accessories
Provision of Inspection and Certification for Shell Warehouse storage systems:
This service is expected to be provided by in country sources. Currently SPDC does not have a contract for this scope. It
is to be asked bidders to have SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) or EQUIVALENT Approved inspectors
employed. The Works and Services shall include but not limited to the following:
a) Determination of allowable shelf load capacity & unit loads for shell storage systems & attaching safe load warning notices.
b) Perform Annual periodic inspections for warehouse storage systems or as required in line with industry guidance EN 15635 to
determine
c) Identify and report impact damage to any part of the structure, particularly upright damage and beam damage
To be eligible for this tender exercise, interested contractors are required to be pre-qualified and live as essential service
vendors in the NJQS category reference 3.07.06, 3.07.01, & 3.13.08 (Product/Services) category in NipeX Joint
Qualification System (NJQS) data base. Only successfully pre-qualified and live suppliers in this category will receive
Invitation to Technical Tender (ITT).
