Description : The United Nations is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of Heavy Engineering Equipment (HEE) and related support vehicles, on a rental basis, to conduct HEE operator training in Jinja, Uganda under the UN's Triangular Partnership Project for Rapid Deployment of Enabling Capabilities. The HEE must be of high quality, robust, easy to maintain, suitable for use in Africa. The equipment to be rented may include but is not limited to the following: 1. Motor Grader 2. Hydraulic Excavator 3. Bucket Loader 4. Crawler Bulldozer 5. Dump Truck 6. Self Propelled Vibratory Roller Soil Compactor 7. Truck Tractor (with Lowbed Semi-Trailer) If selected for award, the rented HEE shall be delivered to a designated UN training location in Jinja, Uganda. The successful contractor will also be required to provide or assist with training on the equipment supplied and also carry out maintenance and repair of the equipment during the rental period. The rental is envisaged for a maximum period of 3.5 months. Details on the technical specifications, quantities and support requirements shall be provided to vendors in the solicitation document.
