Provision Of Aerial Platform (Rotary Wing Aircraft) To Support Prescribed Burning Delivery

Description :

Provision of an aerial platform using rotary wing aircraft:

1. to support delivery of prescribed burning in conjunction with appropriately trained and accredited DEW staff, including:

ignition using aerial driptorch and aerial incendiary equipment supplied by DEW;

reconnaissance and mapping; and

suppression and mop up activities.

2. Wet-hire of a minimum of one and up to two turbine rotary wing aircraft, both having aerial drip torch (suspended load) and incendiary (approved installation) capability. Note that DEW will supply aerial incendiary (Raindance R2) and aerial driptorch (sling load device) equipment.

The contract will be let for an initial period of two years, with two one-year options for extension.
