Description : 1. On behalf of the United Nations Suuport Office in Somalia (UNSOS), the United Nations Headquarters intends to contract 2 specialised AME/SAR/NVG/MPS rotary wing aircraft for a period of one (1) year plus two (2) optional one (1) year period, in support of UNSOS operations tio be stationed in Moghadishu, Somalia. 2. The operator shall provide the aircraft services mainly for Search and Rescue (SAR) and aeromedical evacuation (CASEVAC & MEDEVAC) operating day and night under VFR (including NVS) as well as day and night under IFR capability. The Aircraft shall be available 24/7. When needed the operator may also be required to undertake other types of services which may include logistic operations such as transportation of passengers and/or cargo point-to-point including transportation of Dangerous Goods (DG), surveillance/observation and general emergency evacuation. 3. The Aircraft shall be equipped with Night Vision System (NVS/NVG): The Carrier must be authorized by the appropriate Civil Aviation Authority to perform NVG flights with the type of aircraft offered. The aircraft offered must be properly equipped and certified to perform NVG flights and SAR, as appropriate. Carrier`s personnel, must be suitably trained, certified and experienced to perform NVG operations, as appropriate. 4.
