The Protected Area/Biodiversity Conservation/Wildlife Management Project Development Specialist will be the GEF PPG Team Leader and will be responsible for quality assurance and timely preparation of all reports and documentation, including the finalized UNDP Project Document (ProDoc) and CEO Endorsement Request, with all mandatory and project- specific Annexes and other supporting documentation, including the Final Validation Workshop Report. S/he will be responsible for managing all consultants on the GEF PPG Team, and coordinating the Team`s work, as well as maintaining close liaison with the Working Group that will oversee the PPG phase. The Team Leader must ensure coherence of the project with national environmental and development priorities, the UNDP Country Programme, the GEF-7 Focal Area Strategy on Biodiversity, the UNDP Global Strategy on Ecosystems and Biodiversity and, in particular, must ensure alignment with the programmatic outcomes of the Global Wildlife Programme (as reflected in the GWP Project Framework Document).
