public health ontario - toronto requires the supply, delivery, installation, and maintenance of a new fully automated assay system for the detection of igm and igg antibodies to west nile virus in human serum to provide diagnostic testing for the province of ontario.



scope of work



the west nile laboratory of pho - toronto has been a reference center for the west nile virus tests for fifteen (15) years. west nile virus is an arbovirus and most people who are infected with the virus will not have any type of illness. in addition, infection is usually not transmitted from person to person. these serological results can be used by physicians to determine the stage of the disease and appropriate treatment.
