Tender Details

Expression of Interest are invited for Professional Services for Katse, ‘Muela and Mohale Assets Identification, Verification, Coding and Uploading into Computerised Maintenance Management System (IBM MAXIMO).

The LHDA is responsible for the management of a large and diverse asset portfolio, which includes hydropower and some of the largest dams and tunnels on the African continent. These core assets require considerable support infrastructure including property, buildings, roads, and bridges. LHDA is implementing asset management in a phased manner. As part of the first stage in implementation of coordinated asset management, LHDA initiated an Asset Management Maturity Level Assessment for the LHWP, to establish the LHDA performance with regard to best practices in asset management. The Asset Management Maturity Level Assessment report recommended the strengthening of the LHDA policy framework to include an Asset Management Policy and a Strategic Asset Management Plan.

The Asset Management policy communicates LHDA-s asset management intentions and guides asset management activities throughout the organisation. The Strategic Asset Management Plan defines the high-level plan to move from the current maturity assessment level to the desired maturity level. It details the main activities to be implemented with goals to be achieved in a phased manner giving anticipated timelines.

At Present, the intention is to have a structured asset register, which includes the status of assets against the detailed as-built drawings.
