1. The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Strategic Public Sector Transformation Project (SPSTP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for the procurement of laptops and desktop computers.
2. The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Nine (9) Laptops (Lot 1) and Forty (40) Desktop Computers (Lot 2).
The following are required at tender submission for both Lots above:
• A valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) OR Tax Compliance Letter (TCL)
• Public Procurement Commission Registration (PPC) Certificate in the categories “Computers & Related Services” OR “Computers & Supplies” OR “Computers, Computer Equipment, Parts, and Supplies” OR “Information Technology Services”
• Proof of certification/authorization from the manufacturer(s)
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank-s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
This is an online Tender process where the bidding documents will only be made available and responses accepted via the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement (GOJEP) System (via the url: www.gojep.gov.jm). No offline (hard copies) tenders will be accepted and there will be no physical tender box for drop-off of tender documents.
4. Tender Documents are available immediately on the GOJ-s Electronic Procurement website www.gojep.gov.jm. for download. To participate in this tender opportunity, interested bidders must fi rst be duly registered and account activated.
To register, please select the link “Register as a supplier” from the system-s home page and complete the information. Further registration instructions are available on the website.
5. Bids must be submitted online via the electronic portal (www.gojep.gov.jm) no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Late Bids will automatically be rejected. Online Bid Opening takes place on the same day at 2:15 p.m. The online bid opening report will be sent to all Bidders that submitted a tender.
