Short description : The Government has provided political guidelines for establishing a Statistics / registers for development initiative under the Knowledge Bank (KB) in Norad: Prop. 1, Partner country in development policy and Digital strategy for development policy. The latter mentions: "In addition to the ongoing statistics cooperationFor example, it should be considered to coordinate Norwegian assistance aimed at establishing public basic registers. Given the importance of register data for public administration and Norway`s experience and expertise in public basic registries, it is desirable to consider whether and how Norad can possibly assist inregistry development. The purpose of the study / survey is therefore to look at how a statistics / registers for development programs can be designed as an interdisciplinary measure that promotes synergies within existing / new knowledge programs. .
