Description
THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive Quotes. However, all interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. ACC-RSA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. The Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, has a sole source requirement for a Pointwise Software Support Renewal for the Systems Readiness (SRD) Directorate. This is a Sole Source with Cadence Design Systems, Inc. in accordance with FAR 6.302-1). Cadence Design Systems, Inc. is the only source capable Pointwise Software license renewal - Pointwise is proprietary software used to prepare geometry data and generate meshes for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Specifically, Pointwise software is the major tool to generate meshes for all high-fidelity aerodynamic modeling in support of airworthiness release (AWR) decision making process for Army rotary and Fixed Wing Aircraft. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This item utilizes North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 513210.
IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the Government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. Phone calls will not be accepted.
