Tender Details

Dear Partner, UNDP Armenia office invites to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Partnering with UNDP in Armenia as "Tech4SDG" Impact Investment Fund Manager.UNDP Armenia currently seeks to initiate a partnership with a third party who would establish and manage a private investment fund, the Tech4SDG Impact Investment Fund ("the Fund"), designed to contribute to the achievement of SDG goals through investments in Armenian and regional (international) impact ventures. To achieve this, the Fund would catalyze funding from both public and private sources to support the SDGs.UNDP Armenia will aim to either select one of the acting Fund Managers in-country with a portfolio of Armenian and international investee ventures and a capacity to scale up regionally/internationally, or an experienced international Fund Manager who has the capability and commitment to invest in Armenia. In both cases the Fund Manager would demonstrate a commitment to provide or raise initial seed funding for a new Fund and demonstrate a clear vision of building pipeline of investable impact venture opportunities. TheFund Manager would need to demonstrate existing track record in portfolio building and management in past activities. The main objective of the Fund will be to increase the amount of impact capital invested in Armenian and international impact ventures through the set-up and operation of a US$10 million impact investment fund. The vehicle could focus on private investment transactions and deploy debt or equity, with a focus on companies with some proven economically sustainable business experience and existing and potentially scalable impact explicitly contributing towards SDGs.Request for clarifications should be sent to procurement.armenia@undp.org Clarifications may be requested in 5 days prior to deadline for the submissionof Expression of Interest.Deadline for submitting an EoI is at 16:00 (GMT 4) of October 19, 2018.Best regards, UNDP Armenia
