Description : The UN Women Training Centre (TC) is dedicated to supporting the UN and other stakeholders to realize commitments to gender equality, women s empowerment and women s rights through transformative training and learning.
An introductory, interactive, didactic and self-paced e-course on gender equality has been developed by the UN Women Training Centre, at the request of the Inter-Agency Network on Women and Gender Equality (IANWGE) and supported by the Coordination Division under the umbrella of the UN System-wide Action Plan on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-SWAP). This course, which is entitled "I Know Gender: An Introduction to Gender Equality for UN Staff" can be found on UN Women s eLearning Campus at trainingcentre.unwomen.org.
The overall objective of the "I Know Gender" course is to develop and/or strengthen knowledge, understanding and awareness of basic concepts related to gender equality and women s empowerment for UN staff, at headquarters, regional and country levels, thus promoting the integration of a gender equality perspective in everyday work and with a view to bring about behavioral change.
The e-learning course s target audience is all UN staff with no specific background on gender equality and at all levels (from general service staff to professionals).
