Description : The Project "Trygg stafett" - aims at ensuring safe interactions for patients and relatives in acute mental crises. At the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (Norwegian: PHR) in Vestre Viken, this help is provided within what is referred to as the "emergency department", i.e., the emergency department at Blakstad, as well as outpatient and 24 hrs services at the District Psychiatric Centres. PHR has now revealed that many patients and relatives do not experience the help in the Emergency department as safe. A larger survey in PHR shows many examples of "Breach of treatment". This means that the help is often perceived as uncoordinated and incoherent.
