Project Description : The competition detail and documents are currently available at https://sasktenders.ca/Content/Public/Search.aspx?CompetitionNumber=WSA-2021-0172The objective of the Old Wives Lake Watershed - Water Supply Assessment is to confirm current water utilization and assess potential opportunities for economic development related to water usage within the Old Wives Lake Watershed. Opportunities identified could include projects related to intensive livestock operations, domestic use, irrigation, municipal use, and industrial.It is envisioned that the engineering assessment work will be completed in stages. Phase 1 will involve an assessment of surface water availability and water quality. The successful candidate hereafter referred to as the Consultant will perform a background review, develop a work plan, and produce a preliminary water balance model of the entire watershed. If it is established that there is surplus water availability the Consultant will evaluate possible development opportunities. The Consultant-s proposal is to include recommendations on the best project execution methodology, including approach and proposed modelling software. If Phase 1 shows good potential, it will be followed by a second modelling Phase 2 where promising surface water supply options, including various revised operating and release strategies for existing reservoirs will be evaluated.
