the corporate michael j. Crescenz va medical center, 3900 woodland avenue, philadelphia, pennsylvania has a requirement for brand name cepheid rapid test kits. The rapid test kits are used by the medical center to test patients for mrsa (methicillin-resistant stahpylococcus aureus), influenza, norovirus, c-difficile, trichomonas, and carbapenum resistance. Va has only located one vendor capable of providing cepheid rapid test kits and intends to issue a sole source contract to that vendor.

This notice is being posted so that any unknown vendors who are capable of providing these items may come forward and express their interest and capability in providing the cepheid test kits to va. If your company/organization is capable of providing the required items, provide your entity s capability statement to caroline robinette, contracting officer by 4:30 p.m. Monday, july 22, 2019 via email to caroline.robinette@va.gov. In addition to your capability statement also provide any applicable distribution agreements regarding cepheid test kits, the size and socioeconomic status of your company, and any other information pertinent to this requirement. Statement of need:

general scope: the contractor shall be responsible for providing all reagents and test kits needed to for perform testing. The contractor shall also provide service for the facility owned cepheid instrumentation utilized to perform the tests.

The test kits are required on an ongoing basis and the government intends to award a contract for a base year and one (1) option year. The total potential term of the contract will be for two (2) years.
