Expression of Interest are invited for National Consultants to Carry out the Sentinel Surveillance Study of HIV in Pregnant Women.

Object:
The purpose of this notice is to prequalify National Consultants, natural persons, with relevant qualifications and experience to carry out a sentinel surveillance study of HIV among pregnant women in 2019 in Cameroon.

Consistency of the services:
The mission of the National Consultant to be retained will be to update the existing results on HIV sentinel surveillance. Specifically, it will be:
- Determine the seroprevalence of HIV in pregnant women who receive first NPC in rural and urban areas and other socio-demographic characteristics (age, region)
- To determine the seroprevalence of Syphilis within the same population;
- Identify the main socio-demographic factors at risk associated with HIV infection.
As part of this service, the service provider will have to:
Revise the protocol of the study;
Present a definitive schedule for collecting, analyzing and writing reports
Train investigators and supervisors;
Provide overall supervision of data collection and data capture;
Analyze the data
Write the report of the survey.
The study is to be conducted in 60 sentinel sites in the ten regions, with 6 sites per region. The target population of the survey is pregnant women receiving prenatal consultations (ANC) in sentinel sites.

Financing:
Global Fund (HIV grant, WRC-H-MOH 1639).
