With the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), acting as the executing agency of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Government of Algeria is preparing its sixth national report (6RN) in the framework of the regional project "Technical support to Parties fulfilling the criteria for allocating financing for productionthe sixth national reportto the CBD (6 RN - Mixed Regions) ". The objective of this project is to provide technical support to eligible Parties to enable them to develop a high-quality, gender-focused and data-driven 6RN, which will improve implementation processes. national strategies and action plan forBiodiversity (NBSAP). The 6RN should include information on changes in biodiversity status and trends and their implications and report on progress towards the achievement of the Aichi Biodiversity Targets and the 2011-2020 Strategic Plan for CBD.Object of the consultant's missionTechnical expertise en to support the preparation of Algeria's 6th National Report to CDBS under the supervision of the National Project Director and UNDP Program Officer, working closely with the Technical Coordinator for the preparation of the 6th National Report national report of Algeria to the CBD, contribute to the update of data on biodiversityand their inclusion in the report and the assessment of progress in the implementation of national biodiversity targets, the Aichi Targets and the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation Interested candidates are requested to send their application, including all the aforementioned documents, to the email address providesment.project.dz@undp.org, indicating "Land Biodiversity Consultant - 6RN Project" as the subject.
