Context

Function

Under the overall guidance of the UN Women representative, the Consultant will produce a practical guide to gender mainstreaming in the mission of the national and provincial parliament. He / she will work under the umbrella of the Political Participation and Women Leadership Program Officer and the Assistant Programs / Operations Representative. He / she will work in collaboration with gender experts and elections. He / she will perform the following tasks:

Qualifications

· Hold a university degree at the Master's level in Political Science, Social Sciences, Law or other related disciplines,

· Demonstrate an experience of at least 10 years in the field of guide design or training manual of gender mainstreaming in the mission of parliament;

· Justify of proven experience and knowledge in gender-sensitive planning.

· Have excellent writing, analysis and synthesis skills;

· Previous experience with the United Nations in the field of gender

· A good knowledge of the socio-political context of the DRC is essential

· Have a proven knowledge in the functioning of parliament and the mission of a parliament
