GENERAL NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACTS
Burkina Faso received from the African Development Bank Group, a donation and a loan from the African Development Fund as well as a donation from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative, with a view to financing of the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Project (PEPA-MR).
The overall objective of the project is to sustainably improve the living conditions of the populations in the intervention area ofthe Center-West and Center-South regions.
The specific objectives are to: (i) Increase the rate of access to drinking water in the Central West region from 70% in 2018 to 84% in 2025 and that of the South Central region by 85% in 2018 92% in 2025; (ii) contribute to reducing the rate of access to sanitation in the Center-West region from 15% in 2018 to 39% in 2025 and in the Center South from 10% to 35% in 2025; (iii) increase the employability of young people (girls and boys); (iv) ensure sustainable management of drinking water and sanitation infrastructure, and (v) prepare an investment project.
The project has the following three (3) components:
- Component 1: Development and management of drinking water infrastructure
- Component 2: Studies, communication and capacity building
- Component 3: Project management.
The procurement of goods, works and consultant services will be carried out in accordance with the “Procurement framework for operations financed by the Bank Group”, October 2015 edition, available on the Bank`s website at www .afdb.org . The solicitation documents should be available from March 2020.
Specifically, acquisitions will be made in the following ways :
b) The consultancy and works services mentioned in the table below will be acquired according to the Bank`s Procurement Methods and Procedures (MPAB), in accordance with the Procurement Policy for operations financed by the Bank Group Development Bank dated October 2015, using the Standard Records of Bank`s appropriate solicitation (DSS).
