Tenders are invited for Minor Building Works Panel - T33-19



Tender Details

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to be part of the minor building works panel, for the provision of minor scale building renovation/upgrade and/or construction of new amenities buildings, kiosks in parks, community centres, associated works like roofing, etc. at various sites within the Local Government area (LGA). This tender does not include office fitout works.


In regards to associated works like roofing, landscaping, plumbing, electrical etc. These works only apply when they are included in the scope for minor building works. Example, Where council requires minor roof repairs/replacement, guttering and down pipes only, electrical and plumbing works only, council will call separate quotes from specialise contractors or using pre-existing plumbing or electrical contracts where applicable.


The successful contractors will form part of Council's preferred panel of contractors for the required services for a period of two years from commencement with the view to extend the contract for two by one years based on performance and at Council's discretion. Council is looking to appoint up to four (4) contractors to the panel.


Council estimated expenditure for minor building works is $3M to $5M per year. This panel may be awarded single works up to the value of $150, 000 including GST.


Generally services are required during normal working hours with out of working hours only as required from time to time dependent on the works location and complexity.


A full description of the nature and extent of the services required by Council are set out in Section 3 of the Request.


It is anticipated that commencement of works by the appointed panel will between April and May 2019.
