The naval air warfare center, weapons division, china lake, ca intends to procure on an other than full and open basis the following items: 1) versitron advanced digital regular rockwell scales test head, bt130r-115, qty 1; 2) versitron column test frame, a130-t, qty 1, and additional accessories. This requirement is sole sourced to newage hardness testing, 205 keith valley rd, horsham, pa 19044 as the only vendor able to produce this requirement due to manufacturing the only rockwell-style macrohardness test system that can clamp the sample prior to running the hardness measurement. This clamping allows for large, heavy and/or long samples to be tested without damaging the indenter due to side-loading or torquing.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number n6893619q0121 and provide a capability statement that clearly states the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule.
Written responses shall be submitted by e-mail to the point(s) of contact listed below or mailed to the contracting office address listed below no later than 5 days from this notice date.
