Abstract: Applicants are invited to tender for the redevelopment of a package of four research laboratories at CSAR, Swansea University.Each laboratory will require the design, supply and installation of one or more self-contained recirculation aquaculture systems (Life support system) and tanks (as specified) used for the purpose of academic research with aquatic species, numbered S1-4 in this document.The initial target species for each area will be defined, it is anticipated that the systems be designed to support multiple species for flexible future use (temperate, tropical, saltwater and freshwater). A summary of system loading capabilities for Tilapia, Salmon, Sea Bass and Sea Bream would be desirable.Environmental lighting control (time and light intensity) will be required in each laboratory.Rooms air temperatures will be either 25 degrees for tropical or 14 degrees for non-tropical rooms. Heaters or chillers will have to be incorporated into the design to achieve required temperatures.System controls must be able to send alarm messages (to a mobile phone) to alert facility staff of the location and type of fault.
