the purpose of this advance notice is to inform potential bidders that public services and procurement canada intends to issue a competitive solicitation in the future to establish a national master standing offer (nmso) for the provision of electronic fingerprint capture devices (ecfds) on behalf of the royal canadian mounted police (rcmp). This nmso would provide a contracting mechanism for the government of canada (gc) as well as all canadian provincial/municipal governments (cpmgs) to procure efcds in support of operational requirements to submit electronic biometric (e.g. Fingerprint, palm print, photo) and biographical data (e.g. Name, date of birth) to rcmp?s real time identification (rtid) system.
