Tender Details

There are approximately 15, 000 street lights on Dunedin s transport network. Most of these lights were installed during the early 1990s and are coming to the end of their useful life and are failing more often.

The intention is to replace them with an energy efficient and reliable LED lighting and control system.



What we need

The LED streetlight renewal project involves a one-to-one replacement of existing High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street lights with LED street lights, as well as installation of a city-wide Central Management System (CMS).

It is the DCC s intention to engage a supply partner (or consortia) on a DBM basis to design, install and maintain the entire LED street lighting system.

The scope of this procurement will include:

• Design

• Luminaire supply

• CMS supply

• Installation

• Maintenance
