Description : The consultancy is required to provide technical assistance in the design adn implementation of a KAPN around HIV focusing on the NSP priority populations Key Populations (MSM, FSW), AGYW and their partners, men pregnant women and other vulnerable populations as specified in the NSP. The study should provide detailed and differentiated information on the knowledge, attitudes, practices and norms of specific NSP priority populations with an emphasis on adolescents and young people. The study should pay particular attention to prevention, treatment and adherence KAPN and bottlenecks and should also assess communication processes/channels that are appropriate and key in promoting protective/healthy behaviours. The results of the KAPN survey will inform the development of the National SBCC Strategy for HIV and implementation Plan.

Objectives:

- Analyse community knowledge, attitudes, practices and norms and determinants related to HIV;

- Understand how causal factors affects access to HIV services

- Assess behavioural determinants of utilization of HIV services at community level

- Identify social and cultural norms which may be barriers to uptake of HIV services.
