Description : The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is implementing the "Healthy Street Food Incentives" (HSFI) project in Ghana. This project's objective is to improve the safety and the nutritional quality of street foods, through the use of monetary and non-monetary incentives, to street food vendors and consumers.In a nutshell:? Street food vendors enrolled in the project can buy instant-win scratch cards to win Airtime.? The vendor scratches and enters the unique 12-digit code (e.g. 123456789012#) that appears under the coated surface.? The vendor receives a flash notification via SMS with either of the following texts:(i) "Congratulations! You have won AIRTIME!"(ii) "Sorry, you did not win. Try again."? Either text is followed by a food safety or nutrition tip (e.g. "Wash your hands before and after eating" / "Eat less sugar") and by the text: "If you suspect food poisoning, call 555-555-555 for free."? Street food vendors (and they only) are entitled to give the scratch cards, for free, to their customers, as a promotional tool.2.
