Aviation Fuel

Summary Details:

The Province uses air tankers, fixed wing aircraft and helicopters to deliver retardant/water to fire sites, to transport crews and equipment to fire areas and to support fire management. These resources are also used to support program administration and other forestry related activities.

The Province requires into-plane fuel services for its contracted fleet of air tankers, transport aircraft and helicopters. In certain fire conditions, other contracted aircraft and/or helicopters may also be supplied with fuel at the Province's request.

In order to meet the Province's needs for acquiring safe Services and to ensure flights occur to Provincial standards, qualifications and requirements in the most cost effective, timely and efficient means possible, the Province is establishing standing offers with aviation fuel service providers.

The Province invites interested firms to submit responses for the provision of the Services on an as, if and when requested basis, to be offered through a Standing Offer. A separate service contract may be awarded under a sole source or a competitive solicitation process by select invitation to Respondents for particular Services.

The Standing Offer will specify the terms and conditions that will govern the provision of Services, including the compensation payable to an Offeror.

The Province makes no representations ...
