1. Background:

As an Implementing Agency for the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol (MLF) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), MPU helps countries to meet the objectives of the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone, the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management, etc.
