Abstract: To assist in the filtration, preparation and processing the algae cultures from the photobioreactors. Swansea University is looking to obtain relevant equipment for the downstream processing of micro algae from a feedstock of ~1-4 g/L. The Nanofiltration (NF) requires to be interchangeable with a Reverse Osmosis (RO) rig, with an operating capacity of 100L/2-3hrs, and a minimum hold up of 10L. Furthermore, NF and RO rigs should be able to process 100L/2-3hrs including desalting membranes, 600and 1000 MWCO.All rigs require an ability to control temperature, and monitoring capabilities to measure temperature, pressure, pH, and conductivity. The footprint of all rigs must be small due to limited space (2mx1m).The project is being funded by WEFO monies and Swansea University is seeking a real and substantial in-kind contribution from suppliers
