Description: Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk operates a remote control room (HSR) at its Leipzig location, which takes on the distribution, control and quality assurance of internal and external video and audio signals. The external sources are supplied and distributed via various channels (including ARD Hybnet, MDR Net, LiveU, etc.). There is a central video matrix and an input matrix for signal distribution in the various production areas in the house.

This central video router is to be replaced in the course of the implementation of this overall project. However, this is not a pure 1: 1 replacement. Rather, the previous external input and output signal processing is to be adapted, i.e. the functionality of the previous input matrix and the necessary peripheral devices will be possible in parts within the new matrix. Along with this integration, a new control system must be established in the HSR.
