Tender Details

On November 17th, 2022, based on the "route study", a decision was made in the provincial capital of Kiel about a 36 km long network for the introduction of a modern light rail system. From the center routes are led to five outlying parts of the city, on which up to four light rail lines are to operatelen.

For the planning of the infrastructure, the preliminary planning process started on January 1st, 2023. The approx. 36 km long network is being developed with basic parameters, resulting in requirements for the later vehicle concept. In order to choose these parameters consciously, it is first attemptedrebt to get in contact with the vehicle industry and to present the light rail network, the operating model and other relevant concepts (e.g. envisaged drive technology) and to compare them with the current and future technical status of modern vehicle concepts.

Participation is purely informally intended as a market inquiry and not part of any future procurement process.
