Tenders are invited for Burkina Faso: Illustrator Consultant for Realization Illustrated Booklet Convention on the Rights of the Child, Burkina Faso.
UNICEF is preparing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), of which Burkina Faso is a signatory.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), UNICEF wishes to promote this text to Burkinabe children by disseminating a simplified version to young people an illustrator consultant.
The consultant will be responsible for illustrating the CRC articles in order to make this text fun and accessible, and to ensure the graphic design of the book. The booklet will be distributed to Burkinabe children. The illustrations may also be the subject of an exhibition, various variations in the form of postcards, printing on t-shirts, and a mural.
After having read the articles of the CRC to illustrate with the section Outdoor Communication and Advocacy (CEP), the consultant will have the task of putting them in image, taking into account in his illustrations the age of the readers and specificities Burkina Faso .
Once the drawings have been validated by the office, the consultant will be responsible for producing the graphic design of the booklet.

The consultant agrees to assign all the intellectual property rights he holds on creations made in the context of his collaboration with UNICEF, including illustrations. This assignment includes the right of reproduction and representation of works of the mind that may be created. The rights will be assigned as they are created, for the entire term of protection and for the whole world.
The consultant reports weekly to the PRC Communications Officer on the progress of his work.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Graduate from a school of art, graphic design, design (or show 10 years of professional experience in similar projects).
- Have at least 5 years of experience in illustration and graphic design
- Knowledge of international organizations and child protection
- Being able to work on different media (mural)
- Good organizational skills and timeliness
- Have good experience with one or more UN agencies and / or development aid agencies;
- Familiarity with UNICEF programs in the field is an asset
The duration of the consultation is 43 working days.
All applicants will be required to submit a financial proposal based on the nature and complexity of the consultancy, on the one hand, and the available budget, on the other.
