IC - National Consultant/ Environment ExpertProject Title: Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) project.Seychelles is one of the pilot countries which started the Initiative since January 2014 and have completed the following milestones:Biodiversity Finance Policy and Institutional Review (PIR). Biodiversity Expenditure Review (BER). Financial Needs Assessment (FNA). Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP).Implementation of Biodiversity Finance Solutions The Objectives of the BFU are:The BFU will build upon the Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP) in identifying biodiversity Finance Solutions which would generate revenues, realign expenditures (e.g. harmful subsidies), deliver better (e.g. group procurement) and avoid future expenditures (e.g. biosecurity measures).Facilitate, coordinate and synergize ongoing national biodiversity initiatives/projects including those within the NBSAP.Monitor and Evaluate NBSAP implementation.
