Description

The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to NxStage Medical, Inc., 350 Merimack Street, Lawrence, MA, 01843, for 12 hemodialysis units for use at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). The statutory authority permitting acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.

NxStage Medical, Inc. is the only source capable of satisfying the BAMC Critical Care Nursing Services (CCNS) and 4T Burn Intensive Care Unit (ICU) requirement with the necessary equipment. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees. Points of contact (POCs) are Ms. Ivette Y.
